The Bengal cat is the result of crossings between the Asian Leopard cat (ALC) to the domestic cat. This has resulted in a cat with an 'exotic' look and a domestic temperament.

It is the Bengal’s beautiful coat that stands it apart from other cats, it has a short glossy, soft pelt like fur and ideally glittered, which means they look like they have been sprinkled with gold dust.

Bengal’s are talkative, lively, inquisitive and extremely intelligent. They have gentle natures, love to climb and have an unusual love of water. They are loyal and loving and mix well with children and other pets.
Bengals can easily be trained to walk on a lead.

Bengal coats come in two patterns, spotted and marbled, they come in two basic colours, brown and snow with variations within each colour. Other colours have been developed and slivers are now very popular and widely available. Blues are still quite rare but several breeders are working on developing these and here at Kodikatz we are extremely interested in blues and will soon be acquiring a new stud who hopefully will carry the blue gene, watch this space!!!
